Over 60 years of Archery in Hartlepool

Heugh Bowmen is friendly, inclusive, supportive archery club based at Greatham Sports Field Association, Hartlepool. We have over 35 members, including longbow, barebow, recurve and compound archers. We are predominantly a target archery club, who occasionally foray into field archery.

We believe that archery is a sport for all and we cater for all ages (from 10 years and over) and any ability at all, even those who have never handled a bow before. Whether you want to shoot socially or pursue your talent at competitions, you will be warmly welcomed to the club and we’ll do everything we can to support you.  We make no distinction between age, race, religion, gender, physical ability…  Archery is for all, and nothing will stop the arrows (except the weather, sometimes!)  🙂

We also offer Have A Go sessions for local schools, after school groups, other sporting teams… in fact, anyone who would like to try it out as a group.  Please use the Contact Us form for enquiries.

We are affiliated to Archery GB and are a member of the county archery association – Durham and Northumberland Archery Association (DNAA), in addition to being a member of the OnTarget Development program.
